Cardenal Mendoza Cocktail Competition
Join the competition and win a personalized gold jigger
Cardenal Mendoza invites the bartenders and mixologists of the world to participate in the largest Brandy de Jerez competition, using their creativity to create new or interpret classic cocktails with the diverse styles of Cardenal Mendoza.
Cardenal Mendoza will select 30 participants according to their suitability with the brand positioning. Each participant will receive 3 bottles of Cardenal Mendoza: Cardenal Mendoza Clásico, Cardenal Mendoza Angêlus and Cardenal Mendoza Nebulis.
Participants will create a cocktail recipe which will be measured on creativity, originality, presentation, and replicability of the cocktail, as well as the incorporation of the brand in the recipe. Participants must upload their entries to Instagram from 15 July-15 September using the hashtag #CardenalMendozaCocktailComp and mention @cardenalmendozabrandy.
The 3 resulting finalists will travel to Jerez for the in-person final on 25 October 2023, where they will have the chance to win a gold, silver or bronze jigger in addition to getting to know the exciting world of Brandy de Jerez in person.

Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Complete the registration form. You have until July 1st to register.
Step 2: If you are selected, you will receive three bottles of: Cardenal Mendoza Clásico, Cardenal Mendoza Angêlus and Cardenal Mendoza Nebulis for the creation of your recipe.
Step 3: Share your cocktail recipe on Instagram in a post or Reel between 15 July-15 September 2023.
Step 4: You must use the hashtag #CardenalMendozaCocktailComp and mention us @cardenalmendozabrandy to be eligible.
Step 5: If you are selected as one of the three finalists, you will travel to Jerez for the in-person final on 25th October at the Cardenal Mendoza bodega.

Prize
- The 1st place winner will receive a gold jigger, 2nd place will receive a silver jigger, and 3rd place will receive a bronze jigger.
- All three finalists will receive a 3-day trip to Jerez to participate in the in-person final.
- All three finalists will receive a private visit to the winery where you will taste our Brandy Non Plus Ultra directly from the sherry cask.

Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter is Bodegas Sanchez Romate Hnos SA, company no. CIF A11600673 whose registered office is at Lealas 26, 11404 Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Spain.
2. There is no entry fee or purchase required to participate in this competition.
3. Participation for the competition is by using the hashtag #CardenalMendozaCocktailComp and mentioning @cardenalmendozabrandy.
4. The deadline for entries will be July 1st, 2023. After this date, no more entries to the contest will be allowed.
5. Participants must share their cocktail recipe on Instagram in a post or Reel during July 15 through September 15, 2023 by tagging us @cardenalmendozabrandy and using the hashtag #CardenalMendozaCocktailComp.
6. By participating in the contest, the 30 participants authorize the promoter to disclose and publicly publish the recipe on cardenalmendoza.com and its social networks in several languages. It is also understood that this authorization is granted free of charge.
7. The 3 finalists will be chosen by Cardenal Mendoza and will be announced by email from September 18 to 20, 2023.
8. The 3 finalist cocktails will be selected based on the following criteria:
1) Creativity of the cocktail recipe.
2) How original and replicable is the recipe?
3) Does the bartender / mixologist respect the brand and flavor profile in the recipe?
4) Presentation of the cocktail (choice of glassware, ice and garnish).
9. By entering the competition, finalists authorize the promoter to disclose and publicly publish the recipe and photograph on cardenalmendoza.com in several languages, for an established copyright period of a minimum of 12 months. It is also understood that this authorization is granted free of charge.
10. Finalists will have 2 days to respond and confirm their acceptance to participate in the on-site final as well as their availability to travel to Jerez from October 23 to 26, before the announcement is made public.
11. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event beyond the Promoter's control. The Promoter will notify entrants as soon as possible of any changes to the Competition.
12. The Promoter reserves the right not to fulfill the prize if the level of participation does not meet the stated requirements.
13. The prize includes a 3-day trip to sherry to participate in the on-site final, a private visit to the winery and a gold jigger for the winner, a silver jigger for second place and a bronze jigger for third place.
14. The prize is non-transferable. No alternative to the prize will be offered. The promoter is not responsible for any additional costs other than those listed in clause 13.
